Rubber tapper shot dead in Narathiwat

NARATHIWAT, Aug 17 – A man on Wednesday was gunned down by a suspected insurgent while tapping latex in a rubber plantation in violence-plagued Narathiwat’s Rangae district, according to local police.

Abdullah Samae, 34, was shot several times in his torso by a gunman armed with an M16 assault rifle, according to Pol Col Suchart Asawachindarat, superintendent of Rangae police station.
