Thailand’s Public Health Ministry issues dengue fever warning

Thai Public Health Ministry is warning of a dengue fever outbreak after finding that more than 20,000 people have been hit with the disease over the six months and 13 of them have died.

Elderly people and children aged under one year old are most at risk of dengue fever infection, the ministry’s permanent secretary Dr Paijit Warachit said yesterday.

“People who have a high fever, fatigue, stomachache, vomiting and no interest in food should undergo treatment,” Paijit said.
