Thai Airways Phuket flight forced to return to Bangkok due to bad weather

A Thai Airways International flight bound for Phuket was forced to return to Bangkok on Tuesday after failing to land at Phuket International Airport due to bad weather.

TG flight 201, which was full, left Suvarnabhumi Airport at 8.30am and was scheduled to land at Phuket 9.20am.

However, faced with heavy rains just before the aircraft was about to land at Phuket airport, the pilots decided to head back to Bangkok for safety reasons.
