National Agriculture Day held in Nakhon Ratchasima

BANGKOK, 21 July 2011 (NNT)-The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has developed a water management project and organized National Agriculture Day in honor of His Majesty the King’s 7th cycle birthday anniversary this year on 5 December 2011.

Permanent Secretary for Agriculture and Cooperatives Mr. Chalermporn Piroonsarn has revealed that the purpose of the water management project is to respond to the need of local communities and to realize the potential of each geographical area.

A community will be selected from each province to undergo the irrigation plan. It will begin from October to September. As for the National Agriculture Day, Mr. Chalermporn said it would be held from 29 July-7 August, 2011 at Suranaree University of Technology in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
