Mitsubishi Motors: Agree With Nissan To Produce Pickup Trucks In Thailand

TOKYO (Dow Jones)–Mitsubishi Motors Corp. (7211) has agreed to produce pickup trucks for Nissan Motor Co. (7201) at its plant in Thailand starting in fiscal 2012, the two companies said Wednesday.

Under the latest accord, Mitsubishi will roll out Nissan’s “Navara” pickup truck model. The move is the latest of collaboration between the two companies which launched an equally-owned joint venture last month for product planning and development of mini vehicles for the Japanese market.
