Four foreigners arrested in Bangkok for drug smuggling
BANGKOK, July 25 – Narcotics Suppression Bereau police on Monday arrested four foreigners smuggling drugs worth over Bt9 million.
Two Iranian men, Reza Mirzaei, 24, and Ghodrat Jabbari, 46, were apprehended at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi international airport with 1,800 grammes of crystal meth or ‘ice’, worth an estimated Bt5.4 million in value, hidden in spray bottles in their suitcases.
According to an initial investigation, both claimed they did not know each other. However, police said they worked for the same drug smuggling syndicate based in Phuket and Pattaya.
