Seen as inexperienced, far too close to Thaksin

Some Pheu Thai Party members are sceptical that Yingluck Shinawatra is the right choice as the party’s candidate for prime minister, say sources.

They doubt that the youngest sister of deposed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is really a smart choice for an election that is crucial for the opposition party.

Pheu Thai is scheduled to endorse its candidate for prime minister on Monday and Ms Yingluck is widely speculated to be favourite to win the nomination.
