A small cyclone hit the Homeworks shopping plaza near Pattaya Tai on Sukhumvit Road on March 24. The front glass wall of Moderform Furniture caved in and billboards and canopies were destroyed in the strong winds.

This follows the recent Pattaya Times article calling for stricter building code enforcement called to the attention of the world following the natural disasters in Japan which devastated buildings and the infrastructure.
