Thailand to Give Iodide Tablets to Travelers

For days now officials in Japan have been giving citizens potassium iodide tablets with hopes of preventing thyroid cancer from exposure to radiation from damaged nuclear power plants.

Now, Thai authorities announced they will give citizens traveling to Japan, iodide tablets starting Thursday. Pills will be given free to travelers flying to Tokyo from airports in Bangkok and Phuket.
