Two suspected RKK insurgents shot dead in Narathiwat, 3 others die
NARATHIWAT, Feb 11 – Two alleged members of a muslim insurgent group on Friday were shot dead in two separate gunfights with government soldiers in this southern Thai province, while three others including a police officer were gunned down in a single day.
Harong Ha, 23, believed to be one of the assailants who raided a Narathiwat army unit on Jan 19 which left four soldiers dead, was shot dead in the clash between army rangers and about six suspected Runda Kumputlan Kecil (RKK) members led by Maroso Chantrawadee in areas along the Budo mountain range in Bacho and Yi-ngo districts. Other suspected RKK members were wounded.
