Kiwi dies in Thailand scooter crash
The body of a young Christchurch man has been flown home from Thailand after he died in a scooter accident on January 2.
His Canterbury-based family will hold a funeral for Nicholas McCutcheon, aged 20, in Rangiora on Friday.
The Cairns Post reported today that McCutcheon, who grew up in Townsville, Australia, suffered severe head injuries after his rented scooter crashed on January 2 while on holiday with friends from the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
He died in hospital three days later.
