Reuters reports that Thailand’s largest cellco by subscribers, Advanced Info Service (AIS), plans to invest THB10 billion (USD326 million) on network expansion this year to benefit from continued growth in the sector. AIS targets spending THB7.5 billion on expanding its 2G capacity, with the remaining THB2.5 billion earmarked for expanding 3G services on its existing 900MHz frequency, Chief Operating Officer Mark Chong Chin Kok told a news conference today.
