Kin seek help for Bacolod OFW facing life term in Thailand
The parents of a 28-year-old woman from Bacolod City who was sentenced to life imprisonment in Thailand asked government officials on Friday to help their daughter.
Nede and Florentino Talaban appealed to Bacolod City and Negros Occidental officials to help them seek the release of their daughter Flory May.
“We are helpless and clueless on what to do, Nede said. Any help and assistance from the government and the private sector for the release of our daughter will be a big relief for the family,” Mrs. Talaban said in an interview published on news site Visayan Daily Star on Friday.
Flory May is now detained at the Ngam Wong Wan Central Women’s Institution in Bangkok for an unspecified crime, the report said.
