DSI raids pirated goods shops in Bangkok

Department of Special Investigation officers searched five shops for pirated goods at two big shopping centres in Bangkok and seized more than 20,000 items worth about 10 million baht, DSI chief Tharit Pengdit said at a press conference on Wednesday.

The search was conducted recently by DSI officials, accompanied by representatives of producers of products which had been pirated, with a warrant issued by the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court.

Four of the five shops searched were Zirtel Shop, Zirtel Mobile, Zirtel Fashion and Zirtel at the Indra Square shopping centre. The other shop, also named Zirtel, was at Mahboonkrong shopping centre.
