Thai police arrest alleged British paedophile

BANGKOK, Dec 22 – A British man with an outstanding arrest warrant from a British court was detained in the northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima on charges involving sexually abusing underage children and recording and selling video clips related to child sex abuse, a Thai immigration police officer told at a press briefing on Wednesday.

David Charles Taylor, a 66-year-old British national, was arrested at a post office in Nakhon Ratchasima under the arrest warrant in a 2001 extradition case after he fled the warrant issued by a court in Britain on charges of paedophile and has stayed at a hideout in Nakhon Ratchasima since 1998.

The arrest followed coordination between British and Thai officials.
