BANGKOK, Dec 1 – The Thailand International Motor Expo 2010 kicked off Wednesday under the concept of “Unify…Create Earth-loving Vehicles” with money in circulation expected at around Bt23 billion and at least 20,000 cars expected to be pre-ordered.
Organising chairman of the motor show Kwanchai Paphatphong said the number of cars to be pre-ordered was set in accordance with that of last year where the number of reservations reached 25,220, over 7,000 higher than the 15,000 automobiles targeted. He said the actual sales depended also on various factors including Thailand’s economy and politics, while the end of the year is usually the season of changing cars in order to welcome the upcoming new year.
Thirty-six car producers from 13 countries worldwide and three motorcycle producers are participating in the fair, with all having their sales promotion campaigns.
