PHUKET, Nov 25 – Phuket City and TOT Plc, Thailand’s state-owned telecommunications company, have joined hands to provide free Wi-Fi hotspots to the public in some areas under the project of “Phuket Free Wi-Fi”.

Two public parks — Saphan Hin Public Park and Chalermprakiat Public Park — are the spots for Wi-Fi access.

The project aims to offer local residents and tourists alike to be able to search for information through a modern communication channel and to promote the use of information technology (IT) among the public, which is as well regarded as to promote a better quality of life.
