Railway blast injures 3 policemen in South Thailand

BANGKOK, 3 October 2010 (NNT) – A bomb went off at Raman train station in Yala Province, injuring three police officers and a local. Authorities said the incident was caused by those with ill intention in the area.

Yala provincial police’s bomb disposal team, together with local authorities, inspected the site of the explosion which injured to 3 police officers and a bystander in front of the train station in Raman district.

At the crime scene, officers found a wrecked motorcycle and debris from the bomb and electrical wire, as well as an electronic board, all of which were collected as evidence. Police suspected that the bomb was of home-made type weighing no less than 10 kilograms, but had no clue as to the type of detonator used.
