Phuket’s Po Tongs awarded
Phuket’s local public transportation, “Po Tongs” is awarded “the Oustanding Local Innovation” in a recent national competition, a senior local politician said on Tuesday.
Paiboon Upattaising, president of Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation (PPAO), said the vehicle is among 1003 projects sent by PPAOs throughout the country to contest in the competition.
Only 61 projects including Po Tongs were awarded the Outstanding Local Innovation. Paiboon went to Bangkok last week to receive the awards from Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.
