Russian owner of Tour Company detained following Pattaya Police raid

Police Major General Siwura, Deputy Commissioner of Region 2 Police led a raid on a Russian Travel Agency located in Soi Naklua 16 on Saturday Morning following complaints that whisky had been purchased from the location which is thought to be responsible for at least one fatality. During the raid, the Russian owner of the business, Mr. Andrey Akulov watched as Police entered the location and determined that he was also running an unlicensed Foreign Currency Exchange service from the shop. Over 100,000 Baht’s worth of Thai and foreign currency, mostly US Dollars were confiscated.
