Biggest buddhist lent candle made in Ang Thong

ANG THONG, 20 Juli 2016 (NNT) – The people of Ang Thong participated in Thailand’s biggest candle procession for the Buddhist Lent ceremony, celebrating the King’s 70th anniversary of his accession to the throne.

Government officials, students, and members of the general public yesterday gathered before the reclining Buddha statue of Wat Khun Inthapramul Temple in Ang Thong Province, to cast the biggest Buddhist Lent candle in Thailand with a height of 70 meters, and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.
