Portion of Phang Nga Mountain Collapses in Public Park Following Minor Earthquake

A mountain in a public park in Mueang Phang Nga district collapsed after an earthquake was reported in the nearby area, despite the earthquake being minor.

However, park officials cautioned that the collapse may have been due to recent heavy rains and not the small earthquake.

The Phang Nga City Mayor Mr. Choochoat Gaoigoon told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the rock collapse from exercisers in the Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park (Suan Somdet Ya) in the Tai Chang sub-district, Mueang Phang Nga on Wednesday (June 26th).
