Daily new COVID-19 infections in Thailand surged to a new high of 5,485 today (Monday), including 1,953 cases among prison inmates, and there were 19 more deaths.
CCSA Assistant Spokesperson Dr. Apisamai Srirangsan said today that Bangkok alone recorded 1,356 new infections. 827 cases were found during active screening, in communities and market places, and 529 among those under observation and treatment.
