Medical cannabis now administered in 12 health provinces

BANGKOK,19th August 2019 (NNT) – Authorized healthcare professionals at 12 hub hospitals across the country can administered cannabis products to patients as of today, after medical assessments to decide if requesting patients are suitable for this alternative treatment.

The Ministry of Public Health has officially commenced medical cannabis services in 12 hospitals nationwide, where doctors will be making health assessments of patients and making recommendations if the patients’ symptoms appear suitable for treatment using cannabis, which will not be recommended as a first treatment option.
