Lop Buri: 1 dead, 1 hurt in motorbike-train crash

LOP BURI — An eleven-year-old boy was killed and his teenage uncle badly injured when their motorcycle was hit by a special express train at a railroad crossing in Muang Lop Buri district of this central province on Sunday.

The motorcycle was going over the tracks at the crossing about 100 metres from Tha Kae train station in tambon Tha Kae when special express train No.3 from Bangkok to Uttaradit struck the vehicle at 1.10pm, Pol Capt Soontorn Phutawan, deputy investigation chief at Muang Lop Buri police station said.
