DTAC: Customer knew well about B440,000 bill

Mobile phone operator DTAC claims that a customer disputing a phone bill of nearly 440,000 baht run up by repeatedly calling home while working in the Philippines was well aware of the high charges she was incurring.

DTAC has been under investigation by the national regulator since Aug 29 after Jongjit Yooprai, of Mukdahan, asked her father Prasong to file a complaint on her behalf with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), after Mukdahan Provincial Court ordered her to pay two long overdue phone bills totalling 438,853 baht.
