Govt issues statement on recent explosions, ensuring safety for all

BANGKOK, 12 August 2016 (NNT) – The Royal Thai Government has made an official announcement following the recent sporadic bombings in the country, saying security is being beefed up and urging people to rest assured of their safety.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government has expressed its profound regrets for a series of explosions that took place in certain provinces on August 11 and 12, leaving 4 people dead and 34 injured. It condemns the perpetrators of the crimes and sends heart-felt condolences to families that have lost their loved ones and the wounded. Relevant agencies have been assigned to assist, facilitate and compensate tourists who were affected by the incidents.
