A tourist from Bangkok collapsed unconscious at his room at a resort in the famous Phu Thap Berk mountainous retreat in Phetchabun province on Wednesday apparently because of the freezing weather compounded by alcoholic drinking.

The 35-year old man who was not identified was found lying unconscious in his room by his friends.
