Pol Gen Jakthip named new Police Chief

BANGKOK, 14 August 2015 (NNT) – The Royal Thai Police Board has selected Pol Gen Jakthip Chaijinda as the 11th Police Commissioner-General of Thailand.

In his capacity as the vice chairman of the Police Board, Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs Gen Prawit Wongsuwan presided over the Board’s meeting to find the replacement for National Police Chief Pol Gen Somyot Poompanmuang, who is set to retire at the end of September this year.
