A 4.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Sangkhla buri district of Kanachanaburi province at about 9.20 p.m. tonight sending hundreds of residents in the whole district to run out of their homes and buildings to the streets in panic.

The quake was felt almost a minute in the town and sent the Sangkhla district hospital to evacuate patients to safe area out of hospital buildings.
