Three insurgent ringleaders nabbed in Pattani

PATTANI, 14 August 2014 (NNT) – The Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) has announced an arrest of three leading members of the insurgent network in Thailand’s Deep South while encouraging others to surrender themselves.

Col Pramote Phrom-in, Spokesperson of ISOC Region 4 Forward Command, stated that a joint security force had successfully apprehended three suspected assailants in Sai Buri district of the southernmost province of Pattani. They were alleged to have played commanding roles in the separatist movement and to have been involved in a number of bomb attacks and street shootings in the region.
