NCPO to suppress drug abuse in Bangkok

BANGKOK, 7 August 2014 (NNT) –The head of legal affairs for the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), Gen Paiboon Khumchaya today chaired a meeting with police officers, the Narcotics Control Board, Bangkok, the Ministry of Justice and relevant authorities to discuss the suppression of drug abuse in Bangkok.

Gen Paiboon said that 30% of the nationwide narcotics problem is found in Bangkok because the area of management is relatively complicated, and the suppression responsibilities of each authority have not been properly integrated.
