Bangkok cabs targeted in crackdown

BANGKOK, 4 JULY 2014, (NNT)-The Department of Land Transport in cooperation with the 11th Military Circle is gearing up to regulate taxi services in Bangkok in order to better track performance and screening of the driver in case of an emergency or other incident.

Asathai Rattanadilok Na Phuket, director general of the Land Transport Department, said officials from the 11th Military Circle will be collecting detailed information on Taxi service providers, to improve the Taxi system by July 15th, 2014.
