Thai police ask army to hand over suspects in red shirt leader’s shooting

BANGKOK, Feb 10 – Thai police formally asked the army to hand over four soldiers for questioning for alleged involvement in the attempted murder of Udon Thani-based Red Shirt leader Kwanchai Praipana, the deputy army spokesman said today.

Col Winthai Suvaree said the four suspects are assigned to work at the 9th Infantry Division in Kanchanaburi, also known as the Surasee Task Force.
