Weather authorities issue warning as heavy rains, strong wind waves are expected to hit Southern Thailand

The active low pressure cell covers the lower South of Thailand will move to the Andaman Sea by tonight. Abundant rain and heavy to very heavy rain in many places are likely in the South. People in the provinces include Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Phang-nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun should beware of heavy to very heavy rain until tomorrow.

The strong wind wave in the Gulf of Thailand from Prachuap Khiri Khan downward and the Andaman Sea is expected 2-3 meters high. All ship should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore during 22-23 November, 2013.

The advisory will be effect on 22 November 2013 at 05.00 p.m.
