Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra said on Friday that he would spend his exile gaining new experiences for the country’s benefits.

“I intend not to waste time but to turn a crisis into an opportunity to learn how changes in the world could be of use to Thailand,” he said in his Facebook message.
