Their Majesties the King and Queen visit Ayutthaya

AYUTTHAYA, May 25 – His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Ayutthaya’s Thung Makham Yong, a historic trip to Thailand’s former capital amid huge crowd of well wishers.

The trip is the monarch’s first long distance trip outside Bangkok since he was admitted to Siriraj Hospital nearly three years ago in 2009.
