International news reports state that the Bangkok airport is closed which is causing confusion. The major international airport remains open. According the the Airport Organization of Thailand the Suvarnabhumi airport is safe and operating as normal and assumed 100% safe from flood. Don Muang Airport, which typically handles a number of domestic flights, is closed due to flooding.

Flights into and out of Don Muang Airport have either been canceled or diverted to Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok’s main international airport. Travelers should check with their airlines for additional details.
