A team from the Royal Thai Navy has been aiding the effort to rescue residents of an Ayutthaya village cut off by flood water.

Among those assisted by the team was an elderly British woman with heart disease, Rear Admiral Noppadon Supakorn, head of the Navy’s Air and Defence Coastal Command, said Monday.
