YALA, Aug 25 – A local official and his three-year-old daughter were killed in Yala while a defence volunteer was shot dead at an attack at a school in rural Songkhla on Wednesday night.

At least 30 attackers fired at the home of Mani Sulaiman Sengmasu, a member of the Talowae sub-district administration organisation in Yala’s Yaha district.

He and his three-year-old daughter were killed and nine defence volunteers were wounded.
