HM the King of Thailand has developed a eye cataract at an early stage

BANGKOK, 11 June 2011 (NNT) – The Bureau of the Royal Household issued the 44th announcement on His Majesty the King’s health condition, following his regular eye examination at the Ratanin Eye Hospital on 10 June 2011.

The team of royal physicians reported that His Majesty’s general condition was good, with his body temperature, blood pressure, heartbeat and respiration found to be normal. He has been exercising and strengthening his muscles more.

Following his regular eye examination at the Ratanin Eye Hospital on Friday, it was found that the pressure in his eyes, retina and optic nerve were normal. The retina had become somewhat cloudy, as the eye cataract had developed in the early stage. The oculists would continue checking His Majesty’s eyes regularly in the future.
