Thai Airways to buy 75 aircraft plus parts between 2011-2022

BANGKOK, Feb 26 – Thai Airways International Public Co, Ltd (THAI) plans to buy 75 aircraft plus spare engines between 2011-2022 at the total cost of about Bt457 billion with an aim to developing its routes and increase earnings and to decommission aging aircraft, according to THAI president Piyasvasti Amranand.

Mr Piyasvasti said the THAI board has approved a plan to acquire 37 aircraft with parts: 11 narrow-body types and 26 wide-body with a combined cost of about Bt216 billion. The acquisitions will be made between 2011-2017.
