Indian beauty pageant contestants visit to Thailand

NAKHON PRATHOM, 15 February 2011 (NNT) – Minister of Tourism and Sports Mr. Chumpol Silpa-Acha has welcomed Indian beauty pageant contestants on their trip to Thailand in preparation for the contest.

As part of their activities, the 24 Indian contestants yesterday visited Riverside Rose Garden , Suan Sum Pran, Nakorn Pathom Province.

During the visit they were divided into different groups, all of which participated in several activities. The first activity on the list was Thai dessert and garland making, which was aimed at introducing them to Thai culture.

In the next activity each beautful contestant was given a chance to try her hand at painting pictures on an umbrella, a northern Thailand culture. They later watched traditional Thai folk entertainment which included dancing and singing.
