Pattaya: Indian Tourist Thrown Off Banana Boat And Drowns

On Wednesday a female Indian tourist was drowned when she was thrown into the sea riding a banana boat off the coast of Koh Laan island.

5th December 2011 [PDN]: At approximately 12.00 a.m. Pattaya Police Lieutenant Kriang Kraiwutbuagla, received a report that and female Indian tourist had drowned in the sea at Tawaen beach on Koh Laan. Her relatives and tourist guide managed to take her ashore at Bali Hai harbour, where police officers and a rescue foundation team hurried to investigate.

The deceased was identified as Mrs. Ratnamala Pradip Korad, a 51-year-old Indian tourist (passport no. 2792086). She was wearing a green traditional Indian dress which was soaked with water.
