BANGKOK, 9 November 2010 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Major General Sanan Kajornprasart revealed that he had met with former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in Norway.

During a press conference yesterday, Major General Sanan, one of the deputy prime ministers, talked about his merit-making trip to nine temples in nine different countries. He said he had a brief meeting with former prime Minister Thaksin on November 6th, during which he asked the toppled premier to forget the past and focus on solving the nation’s chronic problems as a result of the 2006 coup.

He said the exiled Prime Minister accepted the reconciliation plans, but with conditions which could not be revealed at the moment.
