Thailand Might Be in State of Emergency as Rally Plans for October Spark Fears
Thai security authorities are being placed on high alert as political groups organize highly charged memorial gatherings in October to mark past bloodshed. Bangkok Post reported.
Security agencies had warned that there might be violence in Bangkok and its surrounding provinces such as Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan and Pathum Thani, Udon Thani, Nakhon Ratchasima and Khon Kaen.
The gather is to mark the anniversary of several political revolts against past military and civilian governments.
