A Thai woman was arrested in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Huai Thalaeng district Saturday for duping others with false promises of jobs in South Korea paying Bt30,000 a month.
Saisamorn Sutthichaiya, 55, was arrested along with travel documents of the alleged victims. She reportedly confessed to the crime, Pol Lt Col Phum Thongpho of the Police Region 3 said.
Saisamorn reportedly told people seeking jobs in South Korea they must pay Bt120,000 in costs per person, Bt15,000-30,000 of which they had to her pay her in advance.
