HM the King of Thailand grants 10 million THB to aid flood victims

BANGKOK, 20 October 2010 (NNT) – As flash floods continued to threaten the Northeast and the Central Plains, His Majesty the King granted 10 million THB from his personal fund to aid flood victims as an urgent assistance.

The fund was given through the Rajaprajanugroh Foundation, to purchase necessities and distribute them to people hit by flash floods in all areas.

HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, meanwhile, dispatched the Red Cross units to flood hit areas, with the Mobile Red Cross Kitchen to prepare food for those stranded or driven out of their homes.
