Bangkok Airport Link temporarily closed for repairs on faulty rail turnout

BANGKOK, 8 September 2010 (NNT) — State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has reported that it will temporarily suspend its services due to a current system malfunction.

According to the chairman of the SRT Supot Saplom, he was informed at 07.30 hrs that the railroad turnout, or switch, malfunctioned at the Ladkrabang station and that the Airport Link service has been suspended to ensure public safety. A team of engineers has been assigned to look to either repair or replace the turnout as soon as possible.
