Express Rail Link between Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi Opens Monday

The airport train link connecting Bangkok with Suvarnabhumi International Airport will begin commercial services on Monday, according to State Railway of Thailand (SRT) governor Yuthana Thapcharoen.

Bangkok, the 18th of August 2010: Announcing the opening, Mr. Thapcharoen explained that both the Airport link’s Express Service and City Line systems would begin operation on Monday. Trains will run every 15-minutes from 6:00am-midnight.

According to reports, the City Line will make eight stops, starting from Phayathai before finishing at the airport. Fares start from a meagre Bt15. The Express Service is a non-stop service between Makkasan and Suvarnabhumi, with the fare being Bt100 per trip.
